The session will highlight Malaysia’s commitment to halving road fatalities by 2030, explore strategies for translating policy frameworks into measurable outcomes, and emphasize the socio-economic value of lives saved. Key themes include strengthening inter-agency collaboration, advancing vehicle and infrastructure safety standards, promoting eco-driving and behavioral change, and leveraging data-driven approaches to monitor progress. The dialogue aims to bridge the gap between policy and practice, ensuring that commitments made at the national level result in safer roads, reduced fatalities, and improved public confidence in transport systems.
This executive forum convenes C-suite leaders and international experts across telecommunications, smart mobility, vehicle safety, insurance, and energy logistics to examine how corporate governance drives road safety. The panel explores the convergence of 5G connectivity, smart urban infrastructure, vehicle safety standards, risk analytics, and fleet management. By bridging digital innovation and corporate responsibility, the session positions road safety as an essential ESG priority for modern leadership committed to Vision Zero.
Creating safer roads requires more than improvements to vehicles and infrastructure—it calls for a deeper understanding of the diverse needs and experiences of all road users. Moderated by a representative from BIGRS, this forum brings together perspectives from governance, industries and a road user representing the community of persons with disabilities. The discussion will explore how authorities, manufacturers, and communities can work together to create a safer, more accessible, and inclusive mobility system. Key topics include inclusive road design, vehicle safety innovations, accessibility challenges, and the importance of involving persons with disabilities in transport planning and decision-making.
How motorcycle safety can be strengthened through a holistic, rider-centred approach? The forum brings together perspectives from social protection, safety technology, the motorcycle industry and the delivery-platform sector to examine how safety can extend beyond individual rider responsibility. The discussion will explore the role of rider well-being, safer vehicle technologies, industry practices, occupational safety and platform operations in preventing crashes and reducing their consequences. It will then bring these perspectives together to examine shared responsibility and cross-sector collaboration, highlighting how stakeholders can connect their expertise, initiatives and resources to build a more integrated and sustainable motorcycle safety ecosystem. Together, these perspectives offer a pathway towards safer riding, stronger collaboration and a future where rider safety and well-being remain at the heart of the motorcycle ecosystem.
Commercial Transport
This forum explores the transition from compliance-driven practices towards a proactive and intelligent road safety culture in commercial vehicle operations. The discussion will examine how effective Safety Management Systems can strengthen organizational leadership, accountability and risk management towards the goal of zero incidents. It will also highlight the application of advanced in-cabin telematics and intelligent monitoring technologies to detect driver fatigue, identify risky driving behaviors and support timely preventive interventions. In addition, the forum will explore how industry associations and key stakeholders can strengthen collaboration, promote best practices and drive continuous improvement in commercial transport safety. By bringing together perspectives from industry, technology providers and safety stakeholders, the forum aims to foster a collaborative approach where technology, organizational systems and human factors work together to build a safer, smarter and more sustainable commercial transport ecosystem.
Post Crash Care
Opening with the key address “Session Introductory: Bridging Post-Crash Emergency Care to Rehabilitation and Return to Work,” the forum transitions into an urgent panel session focused on a single imperative: eliminating the critical delays that cost lives. Under the uncompromising reality that every second determines survival, the panel zeroes in on radical multi-agency synchronization across the entire post-crash continuum. Discussions center on driving instant NG999 emergency response triggers, accelerating pre-hospital field dispatch, mastering trauma stabilization during transit, and establishing an unbroken medical bridge directly into long-term rehabilitation and full workplace reintegration.
Held in alongside with RSC 2026, the Conference of Asia Road Safety (CARS 2026) bridges policy and evidence-based research. Featuring 42 accepted academic papers across oral and poster sessions—with oral presentations on October 20th—it showcases critical data, behavioral insights, infrastructure design, and next-generation safety technologies driving Asian mobility.
